HOW IT WORKS:
Friday is the Regional elimination round for all qualified dogs and only the top 12 dogs will advance to run on Saturday for the championship.  Regular trial points will be awarded to the top three dogs on Friday and those points will apply to NEXT YEARS High Point competition.  We will do a computer draw of the top 12 dogs after the Friday braces to determine Saturday's braces. IMPORTANT: YOU CANNOT CLEAN THE FIELD AFTER FRIDAY'S RUNS OR THE NEXT MORNING BEFORE SATURDAY'S RUNS!

After Friday's run there will be a calcutta held for members to bid on who they think will win the championship, the proceeds of which are split between the calcutta winner and the club.  This is a big benefit to the club so bring money and bid big, early and often!   :-)

Saturday's running order is the top 12 dogs run 6 braces.  The top 6 dogs from that group will advance to run again (3 braces).  This identifies the top 4 dogs and will decide the 6th, 5th, 4th and 3rd place dogs.  4th and 3rd place are awarded 1 and 2 points respectively and do not run again.
After a one-hour break ten birds will be planted and the two highest placing dogs will then run again for 1 hour to determine the champion and 1st runner up.   PLEASE NOTE: THE FIELDS MUST BE CLEANED DURING THIS 1 HOUR BREAK ON SATURDAY.

Points are assigned as 4 points for champion, 3 points for 1st runner up, 2 for 3rd place and 1 for 4th place.  All points awarded are considered "first place points" for championship purposes.   These points are NOT added to next years High Point competition.

Following the final hour run we will provide a mexican dinner meal and convene our annual meeting where the awards will be presented, the election results will be revealed and Officers and Board members are installed.

Sunday is a regular trial and will be drawn after Saturdays' braces.  This is because many dogs get pulled from the Sunday trial after running for 2 days and helps the trial run much smoother.  You will need to check the NSTRA website
on Saturday afternoon/evening for the draw to find what brace you have on Sunday.
