National Shoot to Retrieve Association is a walking format trial. It is for all recognized and registered Pointing breeds. During a 30 minute brace the dogs are primarily judged on finds and retrieves. Additional scores are given for ground cover, obedience and honouring another dogs point if the situation arises. At the end of the day the dog with the highest score wins. A dog becomes a Champion when they have 18 points of which 9 are earned from 1st placements. The number of points available is based on the size of the trial.
